Has Sustainable Seafood Jumped the Shark?
What? Just because Clotilde is on blogging about sustainability? No way! Au contraire!
I say “all hands on deck” for this one. Our oceans need all our voices. Yes, the food blogging goddess-turned-author herself is posting about Sustainable Seafood. I’m so excited. This will bring attention to a new audience, maybe some of whom had not thought about the issue before. All are welcome here!
I’ve invited Ms. Chocolate and Zucchini to join us for this year’s Teach a Man to Fish event. Ms. Dusoulier has agreed and she’ll be sharing the news with her readers. Merci Clotilde!
I’m putting out a call to all:
1. Save the Date – October 1 -15, 2008 the second annual Teach a Man to Fish blog event.
2. Any artist friends out there want to design a little logo or graphic for our event? Pretty please?
3. To review – we’ll be collecting everyone’s sustainable seafood recipes, pictures and stories to share in our round up (that comes after my sleepless nights of work, pulling it together) for distribution on November 1. I particularly love the stories that share with others your coming to the issue, learning how to talk to your fishmonger, trying a new fish.
New this year:
◊ Two or three surprise guests/ambassadors will be joining. They’re on the hook, but it’s way too early to give it all away.
◊ New chefs already on board include: Chef Rick Moonen author of “Fish Without a Doubt” Gourmet’s first choice in its new Cook Book Club!
